December was the most celebrated activities of the year among the Maharlikans, not only the birth of our Saviour Jesus Christ, but two very special people who made up the Liping Maharlika - NOEL and VERIONG!



Two people of awesome skills in diplomacy, which we suggest that they should have been a good ambassador for our country! He! he! he! Well, that's true and their numerous friends, associates, their big bosses and even their lowly rank-and-files can attest to that!

Both possesses skills in arnis and have been with the Maharlika since 1973 (it was still called Maharlika Arnis Sikaran Association). They are one of the pillars of Liping Maharlika and both worked out their ways into what they are now!



Let me talk first about ........................ VERIONG!



He is a very studious student who studies and worked hard for his living and schooling. He joined the arnis group out of his curiousity about it in the Summer 0f 1973 at Nayong Pilipino. From thereon, he began to love it and had a lot of fun being a member and showed a lot of skills specially in exhibitions. His experience in acting with the Nayong Pilipino Drama Guild gave credence to his ability to express the art to his audience. He was the handy man for everybody and like his compatriots "Weh" he shares a lot of jokes to the satisfaction of everybody no matter how corny they are!



Mind you this, he never drinks with anyone, EXCEPT with the Maharlikans which I love to see when he got drunk because he loves to embrace the toilet bowl! But, Oh S.... how I hate it afterward because I'll be the one doing a lot of cleaning! He! he! he!



But still everybody enjoys his company because we never run-out of food or go hungry. He is dependable very reliable whenever we run-out of money to buy food, he'll just use his motorbike and ....... walah! ...... food is overflowing in our conference table! Funny, but he has a lot of friends that he relies on them on his job!



As a policeman, which he really portrays in our arnis exhibitions that also earn a lot of applause in his number - "Umbrella and Police Application", has many untold exploits. One of them was the raid that he commandered that almost cost his life in the death of the Pasay City notorious carnapper which he luckily was wearing a vest. That event has changed his views regarding LIFE, it was his first kill. There were other significant event that he always takes into consideration the life he has to take in order to save others but that is unGodly, so he ask for a reassignment to the Traffic Bureau. He was then assigned to other higher sensitive positions which I probably couldn't write out of bounds.



As years followed, he become more popular with his new career as an international Boxing Referee, Oh by the way, I think he is just a part time policeman! He! he! he! Joke only! He gained prominence with it by having been awarded by the IBF, WBO and WBA as the most promising Boxing Referee and has refereed numerous world title bouts in the lower weight categories. He has been featured several times in television and print media as the "cop with a boxing popularity". What part of the print media that I loved to read and watch the headline every now and then was, the "Smack on the Kisser"!



Though a very busy and careered government officer, he still find time in helping the Maharlika in their arnis promotion. He volunteers to officiate arnis tournaments (local and internationl) for free and teach them also as his contribution to our art and country. We salute you Bro and may you be emulated by our young Turks of your exploits and values!



Well, this is only the introduction to his Biography! Bro can I have the right to author your Biography! He! he! he! Sa December 31 ............ walang indiyanan ha!!!
