Daughter of a Maharlikan wins 5 Golds!

Skate Asia 2006
Shenzhen, China
August 12-19, 2006

Alyssa "Tenten" Tuangco, daughter of a Maharlikan and an active member of NARAPHIL Board of Directors - Rosana Catindig Tuangco, hauled 5 golds in the one-week event during the "Skate Asia 2006" at Shenzhen, China. She surpassed her gold hauls by two last year in Bangkok, Thailand.

Like her mother, her athleticism is exceptionally unsurpassed and brought a lot of honor for herself, family and country. Her mother is exceptionally well in martial arts - arnis de mano, and won the 1st gold in the Women's Division Individual Form event during the "1st WEKAF Invitational Championship" in Manila in 1989.

Some members of the Maharlikans sponsored her stint and for that they are honored and thankful that without their support she could have not participated in that international event. "Maraming salamat sa inyo guys!!!" - Ana.

Tenten during her first day event

Like any other participants she is also little bit nervous but because of her continuous practice and training her efforts proved its worth .............

.......... winning her first GOLD!!!

In the last day of the event she won 5-GOLD medals!!!

One of her winning performance in the last day that earned her the 5th GOLD medal.

On the third day of the event, she feels much more relaxed and ease that earned her two more GOLD to her purse. Like a true athlete who has undergone rigorous training and practice, there is no way of attaining excellence in her sport.

Another fete that earned her gold in that event is her ethnic "Ati-atihan" costume. Thanks to her "supermom" who never fails at her side in all her endeavors and training but still her mom's find time to share her talent of her art in arnis.

We salute you Sister Ana for your tremendous efforts and sacrifices! To our Brothers and Sisters who supported her success, thank you and God bless you all!!!

Congratulations "Tenten"!!!
