Reminiscing the occasion of what transpired us to renew our commitment with our beloved Maharlika. An occasion like this one, made a lot of difference of what we should do with her five to ten years from the time we finally decided of our plans.

Yes, we talk and talk while we booze ourselves but it was never senseless talking about it! It was fun seeing our comrades visit us from abroad and helped us in planning our next step for the next chapter of Maharlika's life. We feel proud that we are still a part of that institution which we built three decades ago.

Now it has grown and matured into people like us - businessmen, professionals and career government officers, finally deciding what to contribute to our country and fellowmen.

"Our new seal"
by Manong

When Maharlika was founded in 1972, the emblem of the letter "M" never changed from the time it was reborn in 1982. Liping Maharlika was the offspring of that Maharlika Arnis Sikaran Association. It is majestic and noble having been a part of it.

Two of our most senior intructors and now truly we can call our brothers who came to help us restructure Maharlika are none other than Jose-Rene P. Herras, Jr. and Eduardo F. Paz. Out of the twelve disciples of Dir. Romy Mascardo only two of them really committed themselves for the cause they have pioneered through this date.

To them we owe our knowledge and truly you deserved to become masters of the art. We salute you and thank you for giving us the opportunity to continue that noble cause you have intiated.

Bro. Jun presenting his ideas and plans while sir Ed listens intently with Bro. Rene as Bro. Ariel is having the enjoyment of ravishing the "balut" delicacies.

The four of the "Magnificent seven" are also enjoying the laughter and jokes of the seniors while listening of what they can learn and share to their students.

The group listen intently of what sir Ed is discussing to us. Bros Ariel, Jun, me, Rene, Noel (also a balikbayan from Canada), Rick and Veriong appreciate what he is advising us to do.

Everybody is having the fun of the day including Noel's daughter Monica who came to visit her father's country for the first time in her life.

Sir Ed continues his ideas and suggestions of what our plans would be and they are well taken. Their involvement is a boost to our morale in pursuit of our bigger and long range plan for Maharlika.

We know we cannot be shielded from the rays of the sun always, like the challenges that we will be facing as we implement our programs. But surely we are much more prapared and united now than before, so there is no doubt we will achieve of what we really planned to do.

Thank you Sir Ed and Boboy for not leaving us alone in our quest. The quest you have started three decades ago. We will always be proud to be a Maharlikans! We will never let you down!
