Nayong Pilipno Arnis Club Executive Director (Meneleo E. Estepa, MD) conceived the idea of honoring the different Arnis Grandmasters of NARAPHIL thru arnis tournaments as tribute to their contribution to the revival and preservation of our indigenous martial art - ARNIS DE MANO, and honoring them as a true living legacies of our cultural art. Three of the nine NARAPHIL Grandmasters heed to the call and offer of Dr. Leo Estepa and eventually became a very popular activities of their respective affiliate clubs and followers. This was under the auspices of the Nayong Pilipino Foundation Inc. Executive Director, Atty. Apolonio Anota and NARAPHIL President (Dir. Romeo Mascardo) in cooperation with the Liping Maharlika, Inc.

Succeeding tournaments were carried out by their respective affiliate groups and followers as NPAC concentrated their activities on the monthly goodwill matches and arnis demonstration of the different clubs and other related martial arts group. They also sponsored the annual NARAPHIL National Arnis Team Championship and other Workshop Seminars in Arnis like the Summer P.E. Teachers Basic Arnis Workshop/Seminars.
